
The opening to the public of the Motor Museum in Finestrat, next to Benidorm, next Saturday, April 1, represents the culmination of an ambitious project to provide the Marina Baja region of Alicante with facilities of more than 4,000 square meters dedicated to the history of the automobile.
A unique three-story building houses a permanent exhibition of classic vehicles and film vehicles, as well as an area dedicated to road safety education and training, a restoration workshop, a projection room, a children's play space, a restaurant (food truck) and a souvenir and automobile store.
In the words of the museum's creator, “It's about doing more than just parking old cars, we want to involve the visitor, showing them the secrets of our cars and inviting them to learn how these jewels that changed the world work”.
The collection is made up of about 60 owned vehicles and some others on loan. Among the exhibition pieces, highlights include a 1923 Dodge Brothers, a 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood limousine that belonged to the Spanish government, two Delorean DMC-12s in impeccable condition, and an exclusive Aston Martin Lagonda, of which only 645 were manufactured. units.
